This folder contains the "K" Correspondence (1933) of Wilfrid Parsons, S.J., Editor of America Magazine (1925-1936). Items of interest include: letter (Jan. 16) starts the attachment of several letters involving a controversy with "Atlantic" Magazine involving the publication of a letter which was considered insulting to the Catholic priesthood; letter (Mar. 20) alludes to the writer's position on birth-control; letter (May 11) displays the concern of the Knights of Columbus-Texas State Council for the use of objectionable (by Catholic standards) library texts by Catholic students; letter (May 23) provides information on the Vatican's decree concerning mixed marriages; letter (Oct. 25) addresses the racketeering and other "evils" associated with labor unions such as the A.F.L. (American Federation of Labor) and the harm it does the ideal of organized labor; letter (Nov. 22) makes a brief reference to an enemy of the Jesuits; letter (Dec. 14) cites some suggested preambles to be used in a proposed resolution against offensive films; letter (no date) concerns the establishment of a monthly newspaper in response to the Pope's plea for Catholic Action.
