Container Summary

This folder consists of the "K" Correspondence (1925-1928) of Wilfrid Parsons, S.J., Editor of America Magazine (1925-1936). Items of interest include: letter (Feb. 27, 1928) addresses Father Parson's request for a suggestion on how to remove the term "jesuitical" from standard dictionaries; letter (July 10, 1928) has an attached article on Alfred Smith published in the Paris edition of the "Chicago Tribune." According to the aforementioned letter, the article gave rise to commentary by other American papers which proved unfavorable to U.S. Jesuits; letter (July 16, 1928) from a Jesuit appealing for financial aid to transport and relocate 42 Mexican nuns, emigrating them from Mexico to San Francisco; letter (Sept.4, 1928) discusses conditions in Mexico and cites positive affects which the Mexican Church might experience as a result of the persecution.
