Container Summary

This folder contains the "H" Correspondence (1934) of Wilfrid Parsons, S.J., Editor of America Magazine (1925-1936). Items of interest include: letter (July 8) from a Jesuit advocating the study of the four Gospels during the four years of Catholic high school religious instruction; letter (Sept. 25) from a member of the Catholic Interests Committee of Thomas Dungan Council-Knights of Columbus, desiring a nation-wide drive to exert pressure on Mexican forces responsible for Catholic persecution in that country; letter (Nov. 4) to Father Parsons suggesting a mass meeting of American Catholics, Jews and Protestants whereby pressure is exerted upon Mexico; it also suggests the expulsion of U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, Josephus Daniels; letter (Nov. 27) mentions Catholic college students picketing the Mexican Embassy.
