Daguerreotype of Horace Porter as a cadet, circa 1855, in a fine mother of pearl inlay depicting a tower at West Point. In an acid free folder. This was reproduced in Elsie Porter Mende's "An American Soldier and Diplomat, Horace Porter" (New York, 1927).
