1 typed transcript (2 pages; 1st page carbon copy, 2nd page edited copy) dated 6/24/1948 from a Radio Berlin broadcast: "Proclamation of the Soviet Military Administration in Germany to the population of Berlin." The proclamation expresses the Soviet reaction to the introduction of a currency reform in the Western zones of occupation by the American, British, and French military authorities. The Soviets implemented the Berlin blockade on the same day, 6/24/1948. The Allies began the Berlin airlift on 6/26/1948.
