1 TL (carbon) dated 9/2/1971 from Jean Edward Smith to Paul Davies stating he is making progress on Clay's biography. Also, 1 TL (carbon) dated 9/20/1971 from Smith to William J. Schuilling, President of the First National Bank of Washington, in reference to Clay's efforts to raise the ransom money to free the Cuban Bay of Pigs prisoners.
