Kleindienst, Deputy Attorney General, to Jean Edward Smith indicating that the Justice Department's files failed to turn up answers to Smith's questions about General Clay's role in the effort to raise money to gain the release of the Bay of Pigs prisoners. 1 TL (carbon) dated 6/29/1971 from Smith to Attorney General John Mitchell asking if the Justice Department has any files on the effort to raise the ransom.
