Container Summary

1 ALS in French from Jan Philip Roothaan, S.J. in Rome to Albert Roothaan sending an undescribed enclosure (not included), acknowledging the receipt of a letter from Prof. David van Lennep, sending good wishes for Albert's family; complaining that the captain of Albert's ship the Eugenie was very anti-Catholic and was hostile to priests, forcing many to go without food for much of their journey; and asking Albert to procure some flowers for Jan Philip's garden.
