Container Summary
1 ALS in French from Jan Philip Roothaan, S.J. in Rome to Albert Roothaan complaining about the mail service and wondering if letters from Prof. Bak in Leiden or Prof. David Van Lennep had been lost; receiving books from Mr. Gompertz in Naples and engravings of V. P. Canisius; congratulating Albert on two ships headed east, the Augustin and the Eugenie, either owned or invested in by Albert and Theodoor; mentioning the canonization ceremony at which Jan Philip saw the King of Naples but did not ask about the Tavoliere Bank; giving some advice on a seminary for a young Dutch man; and claiming not to know of Sicafro(?).
