1 ALS in French from Jan Philip Roothaan, S.J. in Rome to Albert Roothaan telling Albert that he has news that a bank in Naples (in which Albert may have invested) is in fact not guaranteed by the government, complaining about the unreliablility of courriers, and discussing an upcoming canonization ceremony including that of Brother Francis Hieronymo (Jeronimo). "On vous a trompes, en assurant que le Government avoit garanti cette banque. Cela est absolument faux, me dit-on. On a fait croire cela, dit-on, pour attirer les actionnaires."
