Container Summary

1 photocopy and 1 handwritten transcription of 1 ALS in French from Jan Philip Roothaan, S.J. in Rome to Albert Roothaan, asking Albert to send on a letter to the Cure ter Horst and complaining that Albert had held on to a letter for Jan from the Cure since 1835(!), sending sympathy concerning the illness of Albert's wife, stating that he (Jan) should stay out of commercial matters such as "l'affaire de commerce a Naples", and expressing pleasure that Albert and Theodoor had been attending De Krijtberg. "Dans celui qui est adressee a notre cousin le Cure ter Horst, je lui dis de vous gronder bien d'avoir garde si longtemps sa lettre avant de me l'envoyer. Est-il possible?! Une lettre du 10 Aout 1835!!!"
