1 photocopy and 1 handwritten transcription of an ALS from Jan Philip Roothaan, S.J. in Rome to Albert Roothaan, discussing a visit by Jan J. F. Wap, consoling Albert on his "losses" over the past year, and thanking him for his good works at De Krijtberg. "Vous me faites connaitre quelque chose des pertes que vous avez souffertes l'annee passee.- Mais vous benissez le Seigneur aussi de cela, et vous m'ajoutez que vous etes persuade que les adversites sont utils a l'homme.- Cela suffit bien pour me consoler." The original of this letter is on loan at De Krijtberg.
