Series-level Scope and Content Note

From the Series:

(Box 2, Folders 1 - 26) Part III consists of xerox copies of autograph signed correspondence from DJ to HG. Originals are deposited at the Beinecke Rare Book Library of Yale University. The datespan of correspondence is from 1930 through 1974. Some of the copies bear annotations in black or green ballpoint; probably by Sabina Bailey, HG's daughter. The copies have been paginated, probably by Ms. Bailey. To facilitate use and storage, the correspondence has been divided into datespans, which are marked, along with the corresponding page numbers, on each folder. The total number of letters for each datespan/folder is also given in the folder description.
