This series consists of the personal and professional papers of Jesuits associated with Woodstock, former Woodstock Jesuits, ex Jesuits, and Jesuits within and outside the province. The collection is made up of spiritual notes, sermons, class materials, materials for publication, correspondence between Jesuits and family, photos, scrapbooks, diaries, newspaper clippings, and menologies.

Scope and Contents From the Series: During most of Woodstock’s existence, the student body would decamp for a nearly two month long summer vacation at what was known as “the Villa.” While at the Villa, much of the formality of seminary life was relaxed, and was given over to community recreation. For most of this period the Villa was located at St. Inigoes, a long held Jesuit property in southern Maryland on the coast of the Chesapeake Bay, and a former plantation of Jesuit-owned slaves.
