A bound book of theology notes taken by Fr. Maguire during his theological studies at Georgetown College. Some notes are based on lectures given by Fr. Gianbatista (John Baptist) Pianciani in 1849 and by Fr. Francis X. Knackstedt in 1848 and 1849.

Maguire had left Georgetown to conduct a spiritual retreat at Pottsville (attached to a card which gives the dates of his presidencies); and a booklet entitled "Memorial of the Mission Given by the Rev. Father Maguire And Other Fathers of the Society of Jesus in the Church of the Holy Innocents, Commencing March 7th, 1880."
