Among those listed in the alphabetical name index at the front of the volume are Commissioners of the District of Columbia, Father William Cowardin, Commissioner of Education San Juan, Sister M. Euphrasia of the Convent of Notre Dame, George E. Hamilton, G.L. Magruder, Martin F. Morris, J. Fairfax McLaughlin, E. Francis Riggs, Sister Superior of St. Agnes Hospital, Sisters at Georgetown Convent, Wagner Electric Manufacturing Company, and Claude R. Zappone.
Included are letters to: Commissioner of Education, San Juan, Porto Rico dated September 15, 1900 explaining the assistance Georgetown could give to “Young Puerto Ricans desirous of being educated in this country. As women are not admitted to Georgetown we cannot, I am sorry to say do anything for them. As for the men, Georgetown is without scholarship, endowment funds, and State aid . . .I am willing, however, to take half a dozen young men . . . as day students without any charge whatever”; and Claude R. Zappone dated October 8, 1900 asking him to “again act as Director of Aquatics.
