Scope and Contents

No index is present. Includes letters to the Maryland Provincial and to the Rector General in Rome (in Latin). Letters to the Maryland Provincial relate mainly to curricular issues and personnel assignments, for example: dated May 14, 1896 referencing the need for a hospital in connection with the Medical School; dated April 29, 1897 referencing that the University has decided not to grant degrees in theology “for the present”; dated May 9, 1897 referencing the order for “new galleries in Gaston Hall”; dated September 25, 1897 referencing a proposal from Dr. W. Warrington Evans to organize a dental school.
