The Samuel W. Anderson papers contain correspondence collected during Anderson's public life (1948-1958), a number of official documents covering his tenure in public office, and some early articles written by Anderon. The greater part of the collection, however, consists of reports on various topics in international economic affairs, which Anderson compiled in consultation with various clients.

It is one of three portions comprising the larger collection of the Biddle Family papers that include the papers of his wife, Katherine Biddle and a series of family correspondence (see separate finding aids).
