The collection documents some of the writings of French Jesuit Pierre Teilhard de Chardin in their original French. The collection contains 14 mimeographs by Teilhard and includes several essay-length versions of his famous "Le Milieu Divin." The Teilhard mimeographs are arranged in alphabetical order. There is also a bit of supplementary material to round out the collection, including obituaries of Teilhard and newspaper clippings about him.
(Box 2, Folders 1 - 16) This series contains material about Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. This includes material on centennial exhibitions held in France and England, articles and a play on Teilhard, and commemorative stamps.
This series consists of America Magazine General Correspondence. Within this series will be found folders filed by topic and/or names of specific individuals to and from whom correspondence was either addressed or received. In addition, one will occasionally find correspondence which predates the founding of America Magazine. This particular type of correspondence, normally addressed to Father Wynne, the founding editor, was incorporated into the America Magazine general file.
