Scope and Contents From the Collection: A collection of the personal papers of Aimee Ernesta Drinker Barlow (1892-1981). Includes autograph memoir, travel diaries (from 1916 and early 1960s), correspondence received from husbands William C. Bullitt (1891-1967), former U.S. ambassador to the Soviet Union; and composer Samuel L.M. Barlow (1892-1982); as well as from admirers including the artist Rockwell Kent (1882-1971). Of note is an almost complete run of mimeographed scripts of NBC Radio broadcasts by Barlow as "Commando Mary"...

The largest series in the collection, the Music Manuscripts of Noel Da Costa range throughout his career, from the early 1950's to the end of the century. Many of the compositions retain their sketches and drafts, while a few early works remain only in reproductions and performance copies. Differing formats for each title have been housed separately, with each box listed in the scope note for that title.
