This series consists of correspondence written to Theodore Maynard arranged alphabetically by author. This series also includes some manuscripts and photographs arranged alphabetically along with the correspondence.
Correspondence, reports and printed materials of CVHE during his service in Venezuela from from September, 1927 to January, 1930.
This series contains the correspondence related to Charles D. Stone (1830-1858). Stone was the son of Susan Hamlin Stone (1801-1869) and William W. Stone (d. 1851). He practiced law in Waterford, Maine, and had become active in state politics before his unexpected death at the age of 28 years.
Please note that correspondents often mention acquaintances or other individuals but will not provide their complete names. When known, the full name is given in parentheses. Also, in the case of the Clarke family, one A.K. Clark signs her name without the 'e' although it is likely that she is a member of the Clarke family. She also cites (her husband?) inconsistently as 'Mr. Clark' or 'Mr. Clarke.' Descriptions for each letter will use the spelling that the correspondent has used.
