Scope and Contents Charles Sewall (1744-1805/1806) was born in St. Mary's County and educated at the College of St. Omer before entering the Society of Jesus in 1764. After becoming a professed father he returned to Maryland (1774) and served in St. Mary's County until 1779 when he was transferred to Deer Creek.
