Collection of materials related to Ned O’Gorman, including fundraising materials for The Children's Storefront (1994-1997), files related to the Board of Trustees of the Ricardo O’Gorman Garden & Center for Resources in the Humanities (1998-2007), and files related to Ned O’Gorman: A Glance Back, edited by Elizabeth Howard (2014-2015).
Two letters from Ned O'Gorman to Nina and Herman Schneider. One letter, dated November 27, 1987, is a request for funds to support The Children's Storefront, an independent school in Harlem that was directed by O'Gorman. It includes a photograph of students who attended the school. The other letter is a request by O'Gorman for an invitation to visit the Schneider’s East Hampton summer rental home that was likely written in the 1960s.
The Ned O'Gorman Papers 1 consist of correspondence, manuscripts, notebooks and diaries. The papers trace O'Gorman's career from a graduate student at Columbia University in the late 1950s to his tenure at the Children's Storefront in the mid 1980s.
The Leo J. Kasun Papers contain materials by and about Ned O'Gorman, a noted Catholic author and educator. The collection includes invitations from O'Gorman for various benefits, a drawing of O'Gorman, art work by O'Gorman, and photographs. Some of the photographs depict O'Gorman, students, and teachers at the Ricardo O'Gorman Garden and School.
Photographs are arranged first by person or subject, then by date. This series also contains a photobook and notebook of Ricky O'Gorman's and an oversize manuscript by Lucia Dlugoszewski.
