Series 3 consists of chronological correspondence of John L. Brown from 1932 through 1974. The correspondence is arranged in chronological order. In each folder, both correspondents writing to Brown and correspondents receiving letters from Brown are listed.
The sub-series contains incoming and outgoing correspondence, primarily dating from EDP's tenure at Georgetown University, with a small amount dating from his time at Catholic University. It includes both GU and external professional correspondence.
Series IV. Correspondence series includes McCartney's correspondence from his career at the "South Bend Tribune," Michigan State, Northwestern University, the "Chicago Daily News," and Knight-Ridder Newspapers, in addition to personal correspondence and correspondence from readers. Notable correspondents include John S. Knight and Curtis MacDougall.

Series 4: Liberia (1995-2005, 2015) contains information about Blaney’s experience as Ambassador to Liberia. Prominent in this series are documents and memorabilia related to Blaney’s negotiation of the Accra Comprehensive Peace Agreement that ended the Second Liberian civil war. Materials in this series include academic and news articles, photographs, correspondence, speaking notes and speeches, performance evaluations, and memorabilia.
