Scope and Contents Rene I. Holaind (1836-1906) was born in Moulin, France, and entered the Society of Jesus in 1851. He received orders to go to the US in 1861 where he was initially in New Orleans before completing theological coursework at Boston College and being ordained in 1871. He was the superior of the Selma mission (1880-1883), chair of ethics at Woodstock College (1885-1899), chaplain in the Spanish-American War (1897), and stationed at Georgetown (1899-1905).This folder contains: a) ALS...
