Felix Barbelin (1808-1869) was born in Luneville, Alsace and entered the Society of Jesus at White Marsh (1831). After being a teacher at Georgetown College and assistant pastor of Holy Trinity he was assigned to Old St. Joseph's Church, Philadelphia (1837-1869). He was also founder of St. Joseph's Hospital and first president of St. Joseph's College (1852). This folder includes five letters from Fr. Barbelin to an unknown Jesuit regarding mass intentions.

This series consists of the personal and professional papers of Jesuits associated with Woodstock, former Woodstock Jesuits, ex Jesuits, and Jesuits within and outside the province. The collection is made up of spiritual notes, sermons, class materials, materials for publication, correspondence between Jesuits and family, photos, scrapbooks, diaries, newspaper clippings, and menologies.
