The Ord men are indexed by their full given names, e.g., 'James Placidus Ord,' not 'Placidus Ord;' and 'William Marcellus Ord,' not 'William Ord.'
The sub-series contains incoming and outgoing correspondence, primarily dating from EDP's tenure at Georgetown University, with a small amount dating from his time at Catholic University. It includes both GU and external professional correspondence.
Contains handwritten diary transcription of McElroy's 1813-21 diary, "as copied by novices at St. Andrew-on-Hudson" in 1905.
