Playbills and performing arts programs collected by Valerie and Kenneth S. Lynn. Primarily from New York and Washington, D.C., especially Kennedy Center.

Scope and Contents note From the Collection:

The playbill collection, donated by Valerie Lynn, is comprised of playbills and other theatre ephemera, pamphlets from various art exhibitions, and programs from musical performances and ballets collected over her lifetime. The collection spans seven decades, from 1946 to 2009, and includes playbills from at least five different countries.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Quigley archive is, properly speaking, the photo “morgue” of Quigley Publications, active under various titles since 1915 in motion picture industry trade publishing (Motion Picture Herald, Motion Picture Daily, and others). Primarily an assemblage of publicity photos, the archive is a unique national resource for photographs of motion picture industry people: producers, directors, animators, and their colleagues. The Rogers Family Papers consist of fifteen series, the first being on the Rogers & Clarke families in general, and the remainder focusing on the papers of individuals such as James Webb Rogers I, J. Harris Rogers, James Charles Rogers, Cora Rogers Clarke, Phillips H. Clarke Jr., Mae Harris Clarke and George E. Sullivan. The final series contains objects and oversize materials of varying types.

The Laminated Manuscripts Series consists of laminated correspondence and manuscripts by members of the Gallery of Living Catholic Authors. The Series is arranged in alphabetical order. Xerox copies of material in this series were placed in individual authors' files in the Individual Authors' Series. Box 67.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Catherine Walston/Graham Greene Papers consist in bulk of correspondence written by Greene to Lady Walston over a span of three decades from 1946 through 1978. In addition, the collection includes a large portion of original autograph and typed manuscripts, as well as rare proof copies of his works that the author presented over the years as gifts to Lady Walston.
