The Charles Feinberg Collection on Walt Whitman include one 1860 engravings of Walt Whitman (from the 3rd edition of Leaves of Grass), an additional Whitman engraving from the same time period, 1891 wedding announcement (Anne Montgomerie and Horace L. Traubel), 1890 ticket for Robert's G. Ingressoll’s Lecture on Walt Whitman, 1888-1889 advertisement for Whitman's Complete Poems & Prose, and an unused envelope that belonged to Walt Whitman (1890s).

Found in Notes:  George Martin Kober was born on March 28, 1850 at Alsfeld, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany to Johann Jacob Kober and Johanna Dorothea Bar. He received his early education at the Grosshevzogliche Realschule in Alsfeld, but emigrated in 1866 to the U.S. at the insistence of his father who did not favor the thought of his son serving under the German principality.
