Papers of longtime Georgetown University professor of history Carroll Quigley (1910-1977), including research and lecture notes, correspondence, manuscripts, Georgetown teaching materials, documents from Harvard and Princeton, and printed materials. Manuscripts of his books are retained, such as “Tragedy and Hope,” “Evolution of Civilizations,” “Weapons Systems and Political Stability,” and “The Anglo-American Establishment.”
The collection consists of materials related to the Carroll family that were assembled or created by Charles V.P. von Luttichau, a direct descendent of Charles Carroll of Carrollton.
The John Carroll Collection contains original and transcribed correspondence; two religious manuscripts; biographical notes and news clippings; and miscellaneous documents related to the first Roman Catholic bishop in the United States and the first archbishop of Baltimore. Of note are transcriptions of letters exchanged with Fr. Charles Plowden in folders 1, 2, and 6.
The Carroll Quigley - Macmillan Publishing Company Collection consists of one box of correspondence and publications-related materials between Quigley and the Macmillan Company regarding his books, "The Evolution of Civilizations" and "Tragedy and Hope"; covering the period from 1961 to 1974. Ledger containing the names and accounts of various customers of Thomas Cramphin for blacksmithing services. Among them are Elizabeth Carroll, Eleanor Carroll, Thomas Darnall, and a variety of Belts and Bowies. Cramphin's shop was probably located in Prince George's County, Maryland.

The 1993 edition was printed as a commemorative publication on the occasion of the Spring Faculty Convocation, April 24, 1993. The second edition, printed as a 2009 John Carroll Weekend commemorative gift, was presented at a New York Public Library reception on April 17, 2009, to honor the life and work of President Healy.
