Scope and Contents

Basil Pacciarini (1816-1884) was born in Montone (Perugia), Italy, and entered the Society of Jesus there in 1834. In 1846 he traveled to the US and, after missionary work in Maine, he was stationed in Boston and Philadelphia before being at St. Inigoes for twenty years. He was transferred to Fordham in 1882 where he died in 1884. This folder includes a farewell letter (draft) from Paccarini to the St. Joseph's and Mechanicsville parishes before leaving for New York (1882).
