The Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics Records consist of materials that document the work of the center including faculty and staff meeting agendas, minutes, and related documents; annual reports; surveys and assessments; and publications. The collection also includes materials related to specific programs, Georgetown University classes, and events conducted and sponsored by the PCCB. In addition to documents, the collection includes digital photographs and a few audio (MP3) and video (MP4) recordings.
Unpublished Georgetown University administrative records may be consulted only with the permission of the University office which created it.
Researchers are solely responsible for determining the copyright status of the materials being used, establishing who the copyright owner is, locating the copyright owner, and obtaining permission for intended use.
The Center for Clinical Bioethics was established in 1991 by the Executive Vice President for the Georgetown University Medical Center. In 2013, its name was changed to the Edmund D. Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics (PCCB) in honor of former director Edmund D. Pellegrino. The PCCB’s mission is teaching, research, and consultation in clinical ethics following the Catholic medical moral tradition. Activities of the PCCB include ethics rounds, resident education, mentoring of graduate students, and continuing medical education.

The collection is arranged into two series:

Transferred from the Pellegrino Center of Clinical Bioethics by Marti Patchell and David Miller, 2022.
The collection was processed in 2025. It has been rehoused in archival-quality boxes and folders. Digital files have been transferred from disks to cloud storage. Original folder titles were retained when possible. Supplied titles are in square brackets [].
