Biographical / Historical

The Hastings Center for Bioethics, formerly known as The Hastings Center and the Institute of Society, Ethics, and the Life Sciences, is a non-profit research institute focused on ethical issues in health care, science, and technology. Capron was named a Fellow in 1970, served on its Board of Directors from 1975-1980 and from 1982-1998, and was chair of its Governance Committee from 1991-1998.
