Scope and Contents From the Collection: This finding aid is a partial inventory to the 136-box collection of the Alexis Carrel Papers and a result of the consolidation of two smaller Carrel collections. Materials in the collection largely deal with Carrel’s main subjects of study: cancer and tumor studies, organ transplantation, blood transfusion, and various environmental and diet research done on mice to study sarcoma and other cancers.
