A handwritten manuscript by Barnum on the early history of the Alaska mission, focusing on co-founder Fr. Pascal Tosi who was his superior until 1897. Barnum presents "the actual state of affairs" under Fr. Tosi's administration and offers "actual proofs," via printed sources, of Tosi's "habitual tendency to falsify and exaggerate." A hectographed copy of "The Eskimo Bulletin" (v. 1 no. 1). This newsletter was a yearly publication produced at the American Missionary Association's mission school at Cape Prince of Wales; edited by William T. Lopp; and published by Lopp and Harrison R. Thornton, who were both missionaries and teachers.

Six issues of "The Akuluraketeer" (also spelled Akulurak-eteer and Akulu-racketeer), a newsletter printed in Oswego with content provided by Fr. Edmund A. Anable, a priest assigned to St. Mary's, Akalurak. These issues were sent to Fr. David Madden at Georgetown University who added to Barnum's materials.

A biography of Barnum written by Joseph Coolidge and Irene Reed, and illustrated by B. George Smart, for elementary school children. This production of the Kuskokwim Community College Yup'ik Language Workshop includes a story with illustrations in Central Alaskan Yup'ik as well as an English translation.

An account of Barnum's journey, upon arriving in Alaska, from St. Michael Island to Tunana and back. It further includes a shorter, secondhand account of a trip by Fr. Paul Muset, SJ from Tunana to Holy Cross via Andreafski. The end of the manuscript contains a map with hand-drawn annotations outlining these journeys.
