The volume is labeled "John Boyle O'Reilly" and contains a photographic portrait of the Irish poet printed on newsprint. Based on the inscriptions, this volume may have belonged to students at Holy Cross College in Bethesda, Maryland.

One autograph book book dating from 1850 to 1854 that belonged to a New England woman named Lillie. It includes handwritten transcriptions of poetry, notes to Lillie from friends, and handcolored, stamped illustrations. Lillie appears to have attended a school named Barnard. There are references to the town of Marblehead, Massachusetts throughout the book.

Two letters from Ned O'Gorman to Nina and Herman Schneider. One letter, dated November 27, 1987, is a request for funds to support The Children's Storefront, an independent school in Harlem that was directed by O'Gorman. It includes a photograph of students who attended the school. The other letter is a request by O'Gorman for an invitation to visit the Schneider’s East Hampton summer rental home that was likely written in the 1960s.

Scope and Contents A diary maintained by Rev. John Kelly during a portion of his Catholic missionary work in Cape Palmas, Liberia. He describes the struggles of Catholic missionaries in their largely unsuccessful efforts to proselytize to African-American colonists and the local Grebo people as well as the persistent health concerns for him and his fellow travelers.
