A notebook that contains: (1) “the division of time and its parts,” “proportions in navigation,” “projections of the sphere on the plane of the meridian, equator, and horizon,” “pneumatical principles,” and “directions for painting a chart.” The inside cover notes “1815,” but it is more likely that the contents were written in the 1820s.

Biographical notes written by Curley and perhaps others: on fellow students of Georgetown, 1827-1835 (1875), on Washington Seminary, 1826-1827; on Curley’s life 1817-1849; and on his illnesses, 1845-1886. Also includes materials related to birthday celebrations (1871-1889) and the fiftieth anniversary of his ordination (1883); his naturalization (1832); and his 1796 baptism (1832).

Assorted notes and documents: remedies for various illnesses; recipes for artificial seawater and whitewash (1860); a brief history of printing; heights of buildings on campus (1872) and elsewhere; a series of riddles called “the Bishop of Oxford’s puzzle”; and an invitation to the Georgetown centennial (1889). Also contains paperwork from the Archdiocese of Baltimore allowing Curley to continue with his ecclesiastical duties (1865, 1874).
