Fr. Duncan was assigned guardianship of his sister Margaret's children--Katherine (c. 1849-?), Richard Duncan (1848-1903), and Charles N. (1851-1929) Harris--following her death in 1863. This ledger includes financial accounts regarding their care beginning shortly after the death of Margaret's husband, Nathaniel Harris, in 1855.
