Series-level Scope and Content Note From the Series: Consists of 54 folders containing orchestral program notes. Arranged in the original order designated by Lawrence Gilman, who kept the documents in several letter books. Printed program notes (dated 1930-34) written by various annotators and collected by Gilman appear first in the series. The non-Gilman program notes are arranged alphabetically by last name of composer. Gilman made some marginal notes on many of these programs written by others.
