A scrapbook on Abraham Lincoln and other major figures of the Civil War, containing materials written and compiled by the Honorable Michael Twomey (Union soldier and later mayor of Windsor, Ontario) and presumably a descendent or acquaintance of the same. The contents are mostly newspaper clippings from papers across the United States dated between the 1860s and the 1930s, copied excerpts from Twomey's war diary, several photographs of Twomey including his funeral card, and a signed document from Twomey's time in the 15th Michigan Infantry. Twomey died in 1911, so the later newsclippings were necessarily gathered by someone continuing his interest in the Civil War and its major players. Presumably it is the this same person who copied out Twomey's diary entries and created the scrapbook itself. This person may have been the donor, Fr. Robert Rosenfelder, S.J. (1917-2003) as at least one of the later newsclippings appears to come from a source with strong Catholic sentiments.
