Scope and Contents

One scrapbook titled Highlights of the Football Career of Harry Costello. The scrapbook contains copies of newspaper articles on the Georgetown University football team (1910-1913) and sports articles written by Costello for Detroit newspapers (1917-1919).

The scrapbook was assembled by Charles Patrick Clark for the National Football Hall of Fame in September 1960.

Biographical Note

Harry Joseph Costello (November 9, 1891 – August 24, 1968) was an American college football player and coach who later served as an officer in the Allied intervention in the Russian Civil War.
