Collection of approximately 1,500 political cartoons that were published in three major Paris newspapers between 1959-1964 by Jean-Jacques Charles Pennès (Sennep) and Louis Mitelberg (Tim)
The cartoons lampoon Cold War-era international relations of the early 1960s, often featuring political figures such as Charles De Gaulle, François Mitterand, Nikita Kruschev, Mao, Fidel Castro, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon B. Johnson. Topics include the French economic policies, independence movements in French colonies, the Berlin Wall, and the Space Race.
