Japanese sutra scroll, Bussetsu Amida Kyo

Mortuary scroll with the text of the Bussetsu Amida Kyo, or the Shorter Amida Sutra, written in shell gold on indigo-dyed paper; the calligrapher dates the scroll to 1688, one year after the death of their father.

Good condition overall, with some fragility around the head of the scroll.
