Papers of ARAMCO executive Charles H. Holland, Jr., former Supervisor of the Accounting Services Unit of the Drilling and Workover Services Department of ARAMCO. It includes oral history interview transcripts of individuals who worked for ARAMCO as part of the ARAMCO History Project. It also includes reports and other printed materials, as well as maps and audiovisual media.
Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. For use of all manuscripts collections, researchers are advised to contact the Booth Family Center for Special Collections in advance of any visit.

Charles H. Holland, Jr. was born in Memphis, Tennessee on July 22, 1945. He grew up in Memphis, graduating from Christian Brothers High School and Memphis State University. In 1968, he joined the U.S. Army, serving on both active and reserve duty for twelve years, rising to the rank of Sergeant First Class. Active-duty tours were in Vietnam and Ft. Stewart GA. He is a graduate of the Cannon Noncommissioned Officer Advanced Course.
Holland joined the Arabian American Oil Company (now Saudi Aramco) in 1979 spending over sixteen years with that organization in several positions, living in Houston, Abqaiq, and Dhahran. He served for several years as Supervisor, Accounting Services Unit, Drilling and Workover Services Department in Saudi Arabia.
After retirement from Saudi Aramco in 1996, he joined the City of Cocoa Beach, Florida Finance Department, rising to Chief Financial Officer, and retiring as Assistant City Manager in 2017. He was an active member of Florida Government Finance Officers Association and served on the Certification Committee for several years.
During his career, Holland held four professional certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Cost Engineer (CCE). He spent many years in the Boy Scouts of America as a boy and adult leader, earning the rank of Eagle Scout, Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow, District Award of Merit, and the Silver Beaver Award as well as several training awards.
