Primarily consists of correspondence documenting changes in the Roman Catholic Church in England during the middle to late nineteenth century. Includes correspondence relating to Ullathorne's "Notes on the Education Question" (1857). Letters from John Moore Capes, Bishop Paul Cullen, Charles Langdale, Thomas William Marshall, George Talbot, and many from Nicholas Cardinal Wiseman.
