Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Biographical Note
John F. Quirk (1859-1922) received a usual Jesuit education--Boston College, Frederick, and Woodstock. He held a number of significant positions: president of Boston College and Loyola College, as well as teaching at Fordham, Gonzaga, and Georgetown. Two of his brothers were priests, including Rev. Edward A. Quirk who is represented in this collection.
