Three letters from Welch to Sister Christina: one from Xavier University, where he was making his annual retreat; one from Santo Niño Parish, Dangcagan, Bukidnon; and one from Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. He had been assigned to Dangcagan after leaving the Maryknoll Fathers school and was later transferred to Manolo Fortich, from which he also served Malitbog. In his letter of December 12, Welch discusses the state of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Manolo Fortich.
