Scope and Contents

"Mrs. P. Luard" on cover, "Mary Magdalene Luard," on 1st front free endpaper. Same endpaper dated 1816; multiple works with date and location of inscription recorded, with the latest date being 1851. Locations include Florence, Bognor Regis, Clifton, and Broughton.
Occasionally a song was provided by an acquaintance; several are attributed to a "Cap. Codrington," possibly Henry John Codrington, RN.
According to Burke's Dictionary of the Landed Gentry, 1863, p 908-909, Mary Magdalene (Morgan) married Peter Luard, M.D., in 1816; the latter was listed in 1819 as a member from Warwick of the Medical and Chirurgical Society of London.
