This collection contains materials from artist Marguerite Kumm (1902-1992), including correspondence, handwritten notes, newspaper clippings, diaries, and photographs.

Series 1 covers Kumm's family history and early childhood, and includes diaries, photographs, and correspondence from Kumm's immediate family.

Series 2 covers Kumm's professional career and includes correspondence with museums and galleries, publications that featured Kumm's work, and materials relating to exhibitions that displayed Kumm's art.

Series 3 includes material related to Kumm's personal life, including correspondence with her brother Harold and other friends, notes on art history and methods, and drafts of greeting cards created by Kumm.

Most manuscripts collections at the Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off-site require a minimum of three days for retrieval.
