"The Limit", 1917 - 1918
Scope and Contents
8 issues of “The Limit” – a monthly periodical apparently published by British Army troops during the First World War. Materials included in the collection are Vol. I Issues 1-7 (March-October 1917) and Vol. 2 Issue 1 (April 1918). The two volumes appear to be part of the same general publication, but Volume I reads “A Monthly Magazine by the Troops Stationed at Elmswell” and Volume II reads “A Monthly Magazine by the Troops Stationed in Westenhanger District.” Contents include an editorial letter, jokes, poem, and various reports and articles.
